Here's a strange superpower you use every single day without noticing: you can look at another person and just... know they're sad. Or excited. Or quietly annoyed at you. Nobody told you out loud. So how do you do it?
Most of the clue is on the face. Humans have over forty tiny muscles in the face, and they're always doing little jobs — tugging the mouth, lifting the brows, crinkling the eyes. We're shockingly good at reading those tugs and crinkles, often in a fraction of a second.
