Bone City Inside You
What is inside our body, and what do bones do?

Right now, under your skin, there's a whole busy city you've never met. Pipes, pumps, pulleys, and props — all working without ever asking for a thank-you. Let's take the roof off and peek inside.
Let's start with the frame that holds the whole thing up: your bones. You have about 206 of them, and together they're called your skeleton. Without them, you'd be a puddle — a soft, friendly puddle, but a puddle all the same. Bones are the tent poles that keep the tent of you standing.
