Why does it rain?
Rain just shows up — sometimes when you want it, sometimes when you definitely don't. Where does all that water even come from? It's not like the sky has a giant swimming pool up there. The answer is a loop that never stops, and it starts with the invisible.
Water is everywhere around you right now — in rivers, oceans, puddles, even your dog's water bowl. When the sun heats that water, something sneaky happens: the liquid turns into vapor, an invisible gas that floats up into the air. You can't see it leave, but it's escaping all the time, molecule by molecule.
