Could there be life on other planets?

Yes, there could be life beyond Earth, though nobody has proved it yet. Scientists look for liquid water, useful energy, and life-building chemicals, because those helped life begin here. Many worlds have some of those ingredients, including icy moons and planets around distant stars.
Alien life might be tiny and tough, more like bacteria than movie visitors with helmets. Europa may hide an ocean under ice, and radio telescopes keep listening for patterns from faraway civilizations, though space is so huge that messages could miss us by ages.
