A Wonderleaf question

What does it mean to retire?

What does it mean to retire?

a real page from the book

To retire means a person stops doing their regular paid job, usually after many years of work and saving. They still need money for life’s ordinary costs, but it may come from savings, pensions, or Social Security instead of a daily job.

The sweetest part is that retirement changes the shape of a day. Someone might garden, care for family, volunteer, travel, rest, or even work a little by choice, with more say over their own time.
