A Wonderleaf question

How do bees make honey?

How do bees make honey?

a real page from the book

Bees make honey by collecting nectar from flowers, carrying it home, mixing it with enzymes, and drying it in honeycomb cells. As water leaves, the runny nectar becomes thick, sugary honey that bees seal away as food for times when flowers are scarce.

The tiny scale is the wonder: one worker bee makes only a speck of honey across her life. A family jar holds the work of many bees, countless flower visits, careful mouth-to-mouth transfers, and wing-fanned air moving through the hive.
