A Wonderleaf question

What is a black hole?

What is a black hole?

a real page from the book

A black hole is a region of space where gravity is so strong that nothing can escape once it passes the event horizon. It can form after a very massive star collapses, squeezing a huge amount of matter into an extremely small place.

Black holes are not roaming space vacuums. From far away, they pull like any other object with the same mass. Astronomers spot them by watching nearby gas heat and glow, or by tracking stars moving around something unseen.
