A Wonderleaf question

Could people live on Mars someday?

Could people live on Mars someday?

a real page from the book

People could possibly live on Mars someday, but only inside carefully built habitats. Mars is too cold, its air is too thin to breathe, and its surface gets dangerous space radiation, so humans would need sealed rooms, protected walls, water recycling, and reliable ways to grow food.

The hopeful part is that Mars does have useful raw materials, including frozen water. Its day is close to an Earth day, which matters more than it sounds when you imagine children sleeping, eating breakfast, and growing tomatoes under lamps far from home.
