Could people live on Mars someday?

Yes, people could possibly live on Mars someday, but only inside engineered shelters. Mars has no breathable air, bitter cold, and dangerous space radiation, so settlers would need sealed homes, spacesuits, power systems, and constant recycling of air and water.
One helpful thing is that a Martian day is close to an Earth day, so bedtime would not feel completely upside down. Mars also holds ice, and scientists are testing ways to make oxygen, bricks, and buildings from local materials.
