What is Stonehenge?

Stonehenge is a prehistoric stone monument in southern England, built by farming communities thousands of years ago. Its huge upright stones and lintels form a carefully arranged ring, probably used for ceremonies, honoring the dead, and watching important moments in the sun's yearly path.
What I love most is the scale of the teamwork. Some stones came from nearby hills, while others traveled from Wales, far beyond the horizon. People with no engines or metal tools planned, pulled, raised, and rebuilt the place across many lifetimes.
