A Wonderleaf question

What is the Taj Mahal?

What is the Taj Mahal?

a real page from the book

The Taj Mahal is a marble tomb in Agra, India, built by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan for his wife, Mumtaz Mahal, after she died in 1631. It is both a burial place and one of the world's most famous works of architecture.

Its white stone changes with the light, and the design is carefully balanced from its central dome to the corner towers and reflecting pools. Craftspeople set colorful stones into the marble, so flowers and patterns seem to bloom out of the walls without paint.
